This host I signed up for today doesn't even make you wait for the email confirmation code, sending only a simple welcome letter with all of the information you really need. I have tried the others listed in the posts here, even the sticky at the top didnt work. Anyway I googled and googled until I thought I would hit the search limit that google doesn't have, and found a site that lists many a free web hosts that seem to be in tune to what we are all looking for; free, php, mysql, ftp!?, and ads are acceptable in some instances. Ok, well the one I find meets and beats these expectations with this.

I havent tested the mySQL yet, but in the member gui it says I have 9 databases remaining and I have created one, so I think the 1 database thing might be wrong, and I have been uploading and viewing numerous php, html, and image files and the member gui again baffles me saying 0mb has been used and 500mb remain, so who knows. I wont complain unless it is to my disadvantage, so far this has been quite opposite.

umm lets see, the php version running for those who know it matters is 4.2.3.

neither are the latest version.
I wonder if the pay services always have the latest version installed? Probably most of the time I would assume but input would be greatly appreciated.
