Content Management with Shopping Cart

Postby digatle » Tue Oct 07, 2003 6:17 am

Is there a company and/or product that has a php based content management system that has a shopping cart "plug in"? My boss has asked me to code such system and I'm going a little stir-crazy by his request.

Content Management with Shopping Cart

Postby digatle » Tue Oct 07, 2003 12:40 pm

I don't think anyone would suggest phpNuke for a corporate environment. I need something with a little more power and functionability. A guy on the tech team uses phpNuke for his website but my boss turned his nose up on it. I don't remember specifically why that was but I need something a little more robust.

This means, essentially, that you're going to have to pay for it. Start writing those budget proposals...

Oh, and don't expect a good shopping cart product that plugs neatly into a good CMS. One that your boss won't turn his nose up at. Or, at least, expect to pay lots, lots more for it. Welcome to IT.[/img]

Doesn't matter

Postby digatle » Wed Oct 08, 2003 6:46 am

He doesn't matter how much it costs. Money is not an object with him. He wants a content management software that has a shopping cart ability by the same company. That's all he told me.

Truthfully I don't care if it's $50,000 it isn't coming out of my pocket.

Software Package

Postby digatle » Wed Oct 08, 2003 9:03 am

He wants a software package. One that does Content Management and has a shopping cart.

I found this place: http://www.orisissoftware.com/ but is there any other software company like this?
