Am I supposed to be getting the session id?

Postby DrQuincy » Thu Sep 11, 2003 5:24 am

Hi, I'm doing my first site with sessions; I want to allow for the fact that cookies may be disabled so I'm passing the session ID as a URL paramter. My site work perfect when I test it on my local machine (Apache, mysql, and php 4), however when I upload it to server it does not work, I can see the session id being passed in the url but I the boolean value I am using to checked whether the user is logged in is always set to false... how come???

Am I supposed to be get the session id on each page from the $HTTP_SESSION_VARS array?

Thanks for your help :)

Sorted it out; it was the difference in version. How come they changed it? The older way of using session_register() and then NOT having to use $HTTP_SESSION_VARS is a lot quicker.

??????????????????????????????????
