Don't make fun of me

Is this your site? Your friend's? Do you have access to the source? If your friend is trying to teach you PHP, this seems like a lousy exercise. The way to learn such things is by viewing simple examples and creating scripts, not trying to figure out how complicated sites work behind the scenes. If you want to know how variables are passed by form fields and how they're sent to a database, look at the documentation. At any rate, without a look at the source code, we've no way to know what's happening behind the scenes except at a very abstract level.

That is no way somebody teaches anyone.
Try making a script where atleast a variable like type1=true is passed to another page.
No point in reading a script generated by the server!
