A few newbie questions

Postby nickfinity » Fri Jun 27, 2003 11:00 am

Hello,

I used php ever so slightly about 2 years ago and haven't really looked at it since. Now I need to create a site in php and I've got a few questions.

A user will pull up an item. The item's characteristics are broken down into 5 main sections. I need to put 5 buttons (or something) at the top that will let the user go from section to section. If the user clicks to go to a different section I need to save the changes and then go to the other section.

I hope these aren't dumb questions. Is there a best practice for doing something like this? I assume I should create a header file? How would I handle the submits?

I really appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Nick

there are many tutorials that you can find by using google... it would be a better use of your time to post a problem specific question... not to sound bitter :P

You can use db, to register what has been clicked or whatever, but I still didn't really understand your problem :?: :?:
