it's difficult to troubleshoot without seeing your code. also, i'm not personally familiar with easyphp, but have you looked at wamp or xamp? both are free and contain apach, mysql, and php (and phpMyAdmin i believe) from what i've seen, wamp or xamp seem to be the standard for local execution.
