Search facility for my site?

Postby flash_harry » Fri May 16, 2003 2:32 am

Ok, I having major difficulties figuring out how to make a search facility for my site. All I want is to be able to type in a word and if that word is in the file name, return the filename as a link. I have looked high and low for tutorials on how to create a search facility for a website but can't find anything. Also all the scripts for search facilities are way above my head and I can't seem to get any of them working. Anyone wanna teach me how to do it? Either that or does anyone have a basic script they could let me have a look at. Don't mind if it's indexed in a text file or using a database or wotever. Hope someone can help.
Thanx.
