Is it possible to create a mouse over small dynamic php page

I was wondering how hard it is to create a mouse over dynamic page similar to the homeaway website seen here http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rentals/florida/r30 if you hover over a image a small page appears with data shown from this listing. It is so cool, Is this something that anyone has worked on at all.

The effect can be achieved with jquery, which is pretty quick to pick up. w3schools has some good primers for it
