browser question

Hi Folks,

my browser opens up php pages just fine from my web server, but if I try and open the page from my hard drive outside the web server then it doesnt work..... in other words if I open it as http://www.my.server.com/test.php it opens fine, but if I try and open C:/file directory/test.php it does not load....

When you run a script on a server, the script is executerd. A script in PHP requires a web server. So running any script from c:\xxx\yyy.php will not be executed.

If anyone is interested in running php scripts outside of the web server you should look at this....

I installe this and now I can run php scripts from anywhere I want...yeahaw
