How can I get the actual date in numeric integer form.

strtotime will convert a date (yyyy-mm-dd) into an integer that represents seconds since January 1st, 1753

What I would like is to display the actual system date number automatically (so changing every day)

I am afraid I don't understand what you mean.
You want the day of the month? Day of the year?
