integrating php with c#

Postby jbiz2 » Sat Jun 09, 2012 3:42 pm

I have a PC application running on one computer (written in c#) and I want to feed that application information from a php page. Does anyone know of a book or any good tutorials on this subject?

Thanks

for example I'm trying to get C# to perform a task say show a message box on the screen of the computer that the c# is on but I want to call that c# program from my php site. Is this possible? Do I need to know xml, xpath, soap, web services, etc. or is there something else I should look into?

Are PHP and C# on the same machine? If so, it sounds like you may want the exec() or proc_open() functions:

Note: These functions are sometimes disabled, and must be enabled by altering the PHP Configuration file. These functions are almost never available on shared web hosts.

Web services... yes. A few examples can be found here...http://phillipnb.wordpress.com

In addition, you can also try using php curl.
