Re: Need help on a script for opening popups ,cookie settings

The script you have given is JavaScript, this is a php forum. I suggest that you spend the time learning JavaScript or get your friend to do the modifications for you; it is not a good idea to use scripts unless you fully understand what they do and how they do it; if you are struggling with a certa...

Re: Strange thins is getting in the forum

This still has nothing to do with PHP.

Learn to use a search engine, find a graphics package and a web host.

Re: Brief of my site

So what you are trying to do is make people think that they are clicking on a link to a well known web site and actually go to your web site?

Re: Loop a call, return arrays in a for loop and append arrays to a master array

There's not enough code there to make an informed answer.

Is $pages already set or is that what you are having problems with (setting $pages)?

What is the API?

What is working and what errors are you getting?

Re: Someone give a PhpExcel with calculate functions....

You can use PHP to do the interest calculations for you, or export the data processed by PHP in a file saved as a csv.

Why do you need the input from the web as you are then using excel?

Re: Trying to sort images on my localhost!!

You are using rename in a new directory (the file doesn't exist), turn on error reporting and you should see an error. The other thing is to make sure that you have write permissions.

error_reporting(E_ALL);

is_writable($filename);

Re: cant get my "previous images" code to work

Have a look at your previous image function and work out why it is not doing what you expect it to do; compare it to the next image function.

50 include files? your doing something wrong!

Re: Wordpress PHP SYntaxt error

At the very least, you should tell us what the syntax error is.

You might even get you a sensible reply about what the solution is if you also gave us some code and the conditions that lead to the syntax error :)

Re: cant get my "previous images" code to work

Next image function:

Code: Select all

for ($i=$start;$i < $end;$i++) {
Previous Image function

Code: Select all

for ($i = $start; $i > $end; $i--) {
You haven't show the rest of your code, but I suspect that this is your problem.

Re: Undefined index error in basic PHP file

Once you've got that bit sorted and understood, here's a standard single page input form, it may have a few bits that will take some time to understand, but it incorporates some form security, which I think is best learned from the start. welcome.php <?php function test_user_input($user_input) {//Te...

Re: Undefined index error in basic PHP file

You need to type:
localhost/welcome.html
into your browser otherwise the server won't pick up that it needs to process the file instead of just reading a file from your system.

Sorry no edit available:

Code: Select all

if ($filename=="update_files.php" || $filename=="more-to-ignore.php") {
Hopefully you can see where and how to put extra files to ignore here.

Re: How would I automate this script to convert HTML to an excel file??

And one last thing, if the php file you are executing is in the same folder, the script will try to process that as well since you have no checking in place.

Re: How would I automate this script to convert HTML to an excel file??

There are several issues with your script and I think that it's down to confusion and mixed methods. I'm sure that there is a much simpler way to achieve what you want but you are not revealing all of the information so I will highlight a few things that are wrong with your script: include ("paste_d...

Re: Undefined index error in basic PHP file

The problem is exactly same as the first one. If I am reading correctly, you have double clicked on your html file from explorer? then entered (by typing) localhost/welcome.php in your browser to load that page? If this is the case then the server will not be sent the form data since you have simply...

If you are just starting to learn PHP, you need to set your sights a bit lower than a full blown registration system, there are way too many old PHP scripts on the web that are not secure, learn the basics first so that you can understand what you are doing.

Re: Undefined index error in basic PHP file

That's hiding the fault, I think. I'm trying to learn what is causing it. Very true and a very good way to learn* The error is saying that you are trying to access data from an array using an index that is not defined on line 4. Line 4: $say = htmlspecialchars($_POST['say']); The index in question ...
