This is an example of my csv converted from excel 17,JOSEFA V. SANTOS,,2004-06-15,XPEIT,440557, the , is of course the dellimiter, but dont i need the "" to enclose data? and as you can see i have ,, it indicates blank data to be inserted. the columns are idnum, name, address, date, course, certific...

Hi swirlee, thanks for the reply. With regards to my question, how can i display back the questions with the right answers and their answers, but Their answers should not be stored on the database, can i use a temporary storage or can i just pass the answer on a variable? buit i think it's so stupid...

They are not suppossed to login first. No identification should be made for the user.

Save as

Yes swirlee, I've tried save as, that's the first thing that I did and I got some errors when I import it to phpmyadmin, because it doesnt make it a comma delimmited file, it's just the same excel but different file extension and icon.

I've heard that phpmyadmin can convert excel files into mysql, by converting them first into csv.

Setting Mail

Guys, I forgot how to setup the mail function in PHP, i get errors like headers already sent, and an error that i cant understand becauses it is in bold and text overlaps, its like a line of text and another line of text above it. Do i have to modify the php.ini?

Try this man.

ALTER TABLE tablename auto_increment = 0;

If this doesnt do it, truncate the table or just drop it and create a new one.

After your first insert statement of course there should be if statement then if the insert statement is done you will proceed to the next insert statement, if not go to else statement.

hey guys, thanks. It worked i have to check wheter my select statement retrieved records. If not, it will display no recs, using if else statement.

How can we display "NO RECORDS" if there are no re

Guys, how can we display a text that says "NO RECORDS", if there are no records to be retreived or do not satisfy the query in the database.

For example

Select * from users where name ='d'

ID Name
No Records

guys, how can i make a selection that filters the date. wherein i can only retrieve records that has a date of april, MySQL has a date format of YYYY-MM-DD, how can we filter the month.
