Re: When will flush() work again?

Make sure in your php.ini file output_buffering = Off ; and zlib.output_compression = Off

Then, you can try this code:

Code: Select all

ob_start();

for($i=0;$i<10;$i++)
{
    ob_flush();
    flush();
    echo 'testing...'.$i.'<br />';
    sleep(3000);
}

Re: When will flush() work again?

So, it is very clear that this is a version incompatibility. In your fc16, try not to use flush and see if it works.

Re: Very Basic php

Are you sure that this port 80 is free and that no other application is using it??. Also, try to use error validation routines when you do activities like opening and closing ports, fwrite, fget etc so that you know what is going wrong or sometimes why it is going wrong.

you need to make sure that the upgrade did not create this. If a rollback to the old version is possible, then please do that.

Re: Having trouble echo data into 2 columns

create one row with two columns. Before that you need to collect all the record rows in a array(e.g. array_value) and then display it like this: <tr><td>array_value[0]</td><td>array_value[5]</td></tr> <tr><td>array_value[1]</td><td>array_value[6]</td></tr> <tr><td>array_value[2]</td><td>array_value[...

Re: Fetching Data and Displaying on Textbox

if the html is in the same page you can do what you are currently trying to do ELSE you should save the value to a session variable and then try to display it in your html page.

Re: Is PHP Support, URL Validation…?

Make it such a way that all urls go through a common gateway or controller like page where you compare the userid/loginid and redirect accordingly.

your new rule is based on a condition. So, just place it as a block before the old rewrite rules and it should work.

Re: Frameworks - Yes or No

I would say that frameworks is the road that you have take in majority of the cases. I haven't used CakePHP but I have a used Codeigniter. The good thing about frameworks is that it is "ready made". You do not have to reinvent many things like MVC, paging, speed of access, having a separate class fo...

If you have something that is already built-in and if it is faster and useful to you then use that. In this case, you say that the so called "browser" is better. In that case, use the browser. But, there will cases or situations where you do not have anything "ready made" and the only solution to im...

By comparing web browser with sockets you are actually comparing apples with oranges. A browser itself uses multiple socket connections to complete a task.
