Fsockopen - can it connect to visitor's computer?

I can connect from my computer via fsockopen to WEB sites.

But it doesn't work from sitehost, probably they so limit traffic.

So I try to workaround it via visitors WEB access. But fsockopen to visitors IP, port 80 doesn't work.

Is it possible at all? Or it work only with servers?

Other solution with some Java

Hehe... With some little Java we can force that text link act as form, so we can use hidden variables. It's by Christopher S L Heng's text 'How to Make a Text Link Submit A Form ' . Here is example with two variables: This goes somewhere between head tags: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/ja...

Sorry Wizard, but I talk here about GET variables, FORM is no good for me (although it could be good because of hidden variables) but I need hyperlinks with lot of variables, and want to hide them from address bar. This is'n good example: print '<a href="'. $HTTP_SERVER_VARS['PHP_SELF'] .'">Please t...

Well, I saw it during my intensive search. CURL extensions I can not use by my host (of course). HTTP Post will not work for database listings and similar... If (($of)>$l-1){ echo "<a href=".$PHP_SELF."?q=".$q."&of=".($of-$l)."&l=".$l."&cs=".$cs."&r=".$r."><font size='".$navs."' colo...

Hiding GET variables in address bar solution

It is mostly from estetical reasons, not from some protection. As I know only way to hide GET variables is usage of frames. But in that case I don't like that pressing refresh always put back to start page. So I made some little PHP script to override it. index.php has this: if (!session_is_register...

Thanx Wizard. I downloaded it, but I want something really simple.
Anyway, I modified code, so no file creation if FOPEN from some reason not opens file. I suspect that problem was that when server is overloaded it can't open file and then creates new, with counter value set to 1.

Site hit counter problem

I have on my site hit counter with following code as include file. It is accessed from 5 page, traffic is about 4000-5000 hits per day. But sometimes counter goes to low value, couple hunderts, it looks that it resets self. It happened 5 times in last 4 months, but 2 times in last 4 days. Code: <? $...

Saving arrays in file

Is there some (elegant) way to save arrays directly in files?
I solved it so that I saved content as string, and when use it in script I convert back to array with explode.
Of course there is need for load arrays too.

Better way is this:
print"<META HTTP-EQUIV=\"Refresh\" CONTENT=\"0; URL=$page\">"; die;

This automatically redirects always, while header("Location.... works only if no html output is sent.

Statement die after prevents execution of further code if redirect is conditional.
