Hello,

A bit late here but you might want to use mysqli_real_escape_string.

Re: Help outputting 2 query results between 2 child elements

Hi phpRob. Well, this is a really tough one. I fully understand the implode/explode function now, thanks to you, and that is just what I need but I still can't get it quite right and I have been at it for 9 hours..lol.. I got it to output the 'data' but could not output the 'column names' at all. T...

Re: is this site (php-forum.com) the most active php place?

Hello, I agree on some points of benanamen, he is true that this site is partially dead (slow) but not totally! I still believe in discussion, unlike StackOverflow (SO) which has been a very great platform yet very restrictive to new-comers. I, myself got an account on StackOverflow but to build a r...

Re: Good practices and coding style

You might want to get exposed with MySQL first of all then you can get to the very basic of PHP. Metaphor, MySQL is a warehouse where you store all your stuff (information). PHP is like those forklifts that will carry your stuff to the warehouse (MySQL). Hah, sorry for that. Try to learn MySQL then...

Re: problem with a page processed several times

Hello, First of all, welcome! It is a good practice that you have started your journey using a framework (Bootstrap). Trust me, you are doing well! (At some point, you might want to learn pure CSS too! You can make changes by your own if the framework has limited resource). 1. For your 'process the ...

Re: Load a page relatively

Hello, does it means the same URL with different page, isn't it? If it is, you can just apply 'header' whenever a button is clicked. Using the same URL, you can add '?' (Query String) at the end of the URL and use a safe value from $_GET (that the user might have saved such as variable). Example, In...

Re: Server Side Variables

Hello. I just want to mention the session part. In PHP7 there is a global variable of session , it is less complexity. As the manual stated, to start a session just simply add 'start_session()' at the most top of your script (in PHP), you must include the syntax in each of your pages to ensure each ...

Re: Call to undefined function INSERT INTO

Hello.

I believe he meant not the variable but the query. Other than that, you are using a deprecated extension of mysql_* , use mysqli_* instead.

Code: Select all

$result = mysqli_query( your database connection, your query );

Re: How to set font-size

After reading your question, again.

I think I understood wrong at first. You really mean to style the output from PHP right?

Well, this is just theory, I have't tried it yet. So..

Code: Select all

<?php echo "<p style='font-size:8px;'>I might be in 8px</p>" ?>
You can test the code Here

Re: How to set font-size

Yes! Indeed! It will be easier. Let's have a look on your case inside the style.css file you can make it simple and specific. For your <p> tag you can make both of them to hold different class or id which will specifically tells CSS to only make changes on the class that you chose; On top of your HT...

Re: How to set font-size

Hello. Firstly, you can create a <link> tag on in your <head> tag ( or just place it at top, like after important tag such as <!DOCTYPE html> or <html> itself ), example; <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> Which, you can store all of your classes inside the style.css file ins...

Re: How to set font-size

Hello.

If you really need the code to work within the HTML itself then you can simply create a <style> tag and place all your classes inside it.
Honestly, I would recommend using stylesheet, sometimes I can't torture my eyes to see the mixed codes of HTML, PHP, and CSS. :?

Hello. Well, I do not know what Lakh is but I will make a quick guess it is somehow related to money. MySQL itself is great, it can hold so big data. Hello, Blobbob178. Apparently, your code should have worked even without the $_POST value (which the member from the other forum insisted you should create another check). The code on the query looks fine (well, to me) and the logic looks fine too. I would suggest you to remove the second check for ...

Hello, specky. I have been looking for the solution of this too for some time. However, it depends on the data you use to display. (I got this problem on my previous thread too, check it out the code if you might find it useful). If you use the 'value' attribute inside the select tag then it would b...
