PHP 5 isapi problems

Hi, We are trying to get PHP 5 to run as isapi module in IIS. Allthough PHP 5 itself is running, there are some problems. 1. PHP is reading the php.ini file from c:\windows\. How can we get PHP to read another INI file? If we want to run both PHP 4 and 5 as isapi, we can't let them both use the same...

Instead of writing:

$a = $a + 5; // add 5

You can write:

$a += 5; // add 5

In the same way:

$b = $b . '<br />'; // add (concatenate) '<br />'

Can be written as:

$b .= '<br />'; // add (concatenate) '<br />'

It looks like you have a blank line or space before the PHP code in xml.php If any output is sent to the browser (be it a blank, text, html, etc.) you cannot send more headers. Headers need to be sent to the browser before anything else. The ob_start function won't work either if a blank exists befo...

Good question GedroX... I never got that... I don't even put variables in quotes when I want to join it with other text. I'd rather use: $a = 'something is ' . $b . '?'; than: $a = "something is $b?"; You also were right about xhtml ofcourse but from the original question I didn't get the impression...

$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] is the user's IP address
$_SERVER['REMOTE_HOST'] I think the hostname for that IP address (if it can be resolved)
$_SERVER['LOCAL_ADDR'] is the IP address of the webserver

There's a good chance a spamfilter is blocking the email. Things like high-priority headers are counted as "possible spam" tags. If an email contains too many "possible spam" tags and/or keywords, it may be blocked. A different level may have been set for sending the mail to the junk folder than for...

If you want to add headers you have to create a socket (using fsockopen ), send the headers (eg. using fputs ) and get the response (eg. using fgets ). There are some other functions as well which you'll find in the footer of the help for the above functions. Postdata (and Getdata) can be sent by th...

If the data from your database contains newlines, you can use <pre> to display it properly. Or you could convert those newlines to breaks:

Code: Select all

<?php
   $text = preg_replace('!\n!', '<br />', $text);
?>

I can imagine that you want to use the visitor's time - to allow for time zones - but yes, you have to send the data to your PHP script. A possible option is to load the PHP script as an image in javascript. The script doesn't actually have to return an image, it just means that the browser will loa...

imagettftext requires the following parameters: resource image , float size , float angle , int x , int y , int color , string fontfile , string text You're calling it like: imagettftext($myImage, 5, 0, 0, 0, 50, $blue, $font_path, 'texttoadd'); There is one number too much, so $blue is now the valu...

The path should contain the name of the fontfile as well.

Eg:
imagettftext($myImage, 0, 10, 0, 0, 50, $white, 'C:\Program Files\ApacheGroup\Apache2\htdocs\Fonts\Arial.ttf', 'text to display');
