Yeah, getting at that rate table is the thing. :(

I suspect they want you to connect to their website and request the rates, but after the pain PayPal was, I'm not in the mood for another API implementation.

Shipping rates

Does anybody know a good quick way to calculate/estimate shipping rates for UPS or Fedex? I can't seem to find formulas.

Passing a session to another domain

Hi, I am trying to set up a shopping cart checkout system, and in order to do so I need to access my site securely. The site is located at m , but the host requires that the secure version be accessed through m . Both of these URLs point to the same exact website, but because the domain is different...

The watermark will apply to the cache and everything else.

You can either apply them to the sample images directly, or have that PHP serving script you used already apply it automatically.

The PHP process on WinServ/IIS is listed as owned by a public account. You must make sure that account has access.

Clearly we do not have an actual programmer on our hands. Sometimes we forget how hard these DIY projects can be.

the solution is to paste a semi-transparent watermark over the images. If done propperly this will render them unusable for nearly every purpose, but still let the user see the actual picture. And yes Printscreen yields a full quality screen capture. Remember, nothing can show up on the user's scree...

Little secret: Even if you cracked that problem, the user could push Print Screen, paste into a paint program, and have the image. If they can see it its theirs for the taking.

Why do you need this security?

And you're sure you MUST do that? If its possible that maybe you CAN generate CBs, its better. If space is an issue, put them in an Iframe to get the same scroll effect.

I believe that is still a command on the server.

Is this beyond the scope of a Java applet?

ActiveX coding is beyond my knowledge, and generally frowned upon given the exploitations it is used for. You can have the user browse for a file to upload to your server with a common file box, but other than that...

I wonder of a Java applet could do this.

Fedora Core 1 is a baad idea. You are 2 versions out, and they are very deliberate about dropping support for dated Fedora releases. You'll be fighting this one alone in the dark.

No, it is not possible to use PHP for this. PHP is server side, by the time it gets to your user's browser (i.e. by the time anything gets clicked on), the code is just html and javascript. If you wanted to link to a different page that was identical but had the movie inserted where the thumbnail wa...
