Re: joining tables

Thanks Aerox.

Why can't I just do

Code: Select all

print_r( $results );
Why do i have to first do

Code: Select all

$results_array = mysql_fetch_array( $results );

joining tables

OK, I've installed an apache server, php, and a MySQL server on my computer, and I've been learning the very basics of creating databases and tables with the command line client and with php. I'm up for starting to learn about joins , and getting some practice with relational databases. This tutoria...

If you are just starting out I would recommend http://webmonkey.com/webmonkey/01/48/index2a.html?tw=programming as one of the least muddily written tutorials. The most significant thing about php is that when used on the web, it is a server-side language. The program is executed by an interpreter pr...

Alright, I figured out how to make the submit button bigger. But I decided to eliminate the checkbox altogether, as I just couldn't figure out how to make it display bigger -- except in MSIE. There i used some css code that worked in msie but didn't work in Firefox and Opera.

Size of checkbox, buttons, in forms

Does anyone know how to change the size of the checkbox in a form? And the size of the check inside it? Here is the page that I am working on. It seems to work just fine. But I want to make the checkbox bigger so that people with low vision can find it, and check it off, easier. Same thing with the ...

Thanks Alexei Kubarev. I am having trouble learning php and mySQL from their respective official reference sites. What little I've learned is from tutorials. Then after about 2 weeks I forget what i've learned. I have figured out how to make your code work. But now, looking back on simpler methods, ...

Same menu of links on each page

Is there some way to do this with php? I have Dreamweaver, but I am perfectly able to do lots of stuff with just html source code. I know a tiny bit of perl and php. see http://shakahara.com/garden1.html See the menu of links along the top of the page. I have 9 pages with the same menu. I may want t...

It's not worth to the trouble. Whenever I need to, I can easily drop a database using an ssh telnet connection to web hosting company, and MySQL monitor. Or the web hosting company has a Cpanel page that will do it, too. When I am able to block out enough time, I am going to make my computer dual-bo...

put a checkbox next to the [database]... you want to delete

Did you mean put a check in the checkbox? There are no checkboxes next to the database names.

I doesn't really matter. I can always use MySQL monitor to delete a database.

On the Welcome screen for the implentation of phpMyAdmin at my web hosting company, there is a text box for putting in a database name, and a button next to it with the legend "create."
