Hi. I do this with a number of what I call "Dynamic" drop down menus. I'm sure there's a proper term for it but hey: it works... Example: Here's a form field I might use: <select size="1" name="City"> <option selected>Please Select</option> <?php include "INC/Options/City.ph...

Thanks, no problem about the delay.

I know it's a hassle setting something like this up, done it myself in the past. However, assuming we use MSN Messenger we could "trial" one for free through an MSN group maybe...?

Alexei Thanks very much. I used the code and although it tests items in sequence it works a treat. Here's what I ended up with: // ID Valid: if((eregi($regex2, $StringUserID))) { //echo "\n<p>User ID: Valid</p>"; // Mail Valid: if((eregi($regex, $St...

Testing Multiple eregi Statements

Guys I'm having a fair amount of trouble with the above and wondered if someone could help. In essence what I am trying to do is test 3 eregi statements, error out each in turn but only if all 3 are valid to execute some further code. Here's the idea: // Verify User ID: if (eregi($regex2, $S...

Thanks Swirlee. So if basically I'm OK i'd guess as magic quotes are on, I am pretty tight with my queries and don't pull info I don't need at the login stage and then just use session variables all the way through the site.

Many thanks.

SQL Injection

Hi all.

I'm starting out redesigning a whole site and just need to know that if magic quotes are enabled on the server do I still need to re-write all my login queries to protect against the above...?

This probably and I suspect isn't the best way of doing this but I log every failed login and also have an e-mail sent to me that shows what credentials a user uses. I had a strange on the other day, someone posted an entire URL into the password field that appeared to be looking up an MX record. St...

Simple Calculation

Hi all. I've tried finding a reference to this in the manual but no joy and googled but no. What I want is fairly simple I think. I have a table that each day gets updated with a new row that counts the number of records in another table (users). What I need to do is this: Take yesterday's value awa...

Hi all.

I'm wondering what people use to version track their code. Please post a quick response and I'll be happy to reply as it's something i'd like to start doing.

I'd be interested to know what you currently use ...

Thanks guys. I'm glad you didn't just re-paste my code with the right stuff in - made me work...! PHP
MySQL
CSS
