Hi Joel: Ok, yes, it's in a browser. I don't use <pre> tags. And yes, it does display the <br />. I uploaded the file on my server, so you can test it out. This is what you should do. Put in these tags:
and
. Between those tags, enter some text, and press enter between them, so try s...

Um... It still doesn't work. Whenever I press enter, it skips a line, and still displays the <br />. I know lots of stuff with PHP, as every page on my site contains PHP coding, but I don't know that much, enough to get this to work. I'm creating a tutorial system, and that's why I need this. Does a...

You can do either session_id(); or $PHPSESSID, which is the most used. Do something like this:

http://www.somepage.com/somepage.php?PH ... $PHPSESSID, and it may look something lik:

http://www.somepage.com/somepage.php?PH ... 704583a093

Hope this helps!

Website Uploading

Hi: I am wondering, does anyone know how to upload files from a website to another? For example, on phpBB, you can upload an avatar image from another site by simply entering a URL with an image like: m . I'm wondering, in PHP form, does anyone know how to do that using fopen(), and copy()? Could so...

Selecting from a database

Hi, I have a quick and easy question. I have a username and password script that has a problem when you select from it. If someone has a ' in it, for example O'brien, there's an SQL error. Here's a test page to show you: m For the username, put: O'brien There will be an error. How can I fix that? Th...

Thanks, I will try that. I really appreciate it. But this is the weird thing. If you have time, go to my site: m and on the homepage, there will be a poll. Just vote on an option. Then right when it shows the results, press refresh, it doesn't add the vote. I KNOW that I'm not using any Session ID's...

Yes, on the page where I insert their vote, I also insert their IP with the pollid, so that it will display the votes from now on. Well, I'm hoping to change my poll, but right now, somehow I made it so that when I do do it on 1 page, when you vote on 1 page, click refresh, it shows it once. I was j...

You'd have to contact your ISP/Hosting company to have that option done. I'm pretty sure thats how you do it. I don't know if there is any way else.

Hi, I have 1 question. I want to be able to show what users are on my site. I already use a script to count the users online. I made my own auth script, and want to count and see the users who are online. What script could I use? Just to let you know, this is my table info. Table: auth Fields: id fn...

Ya sorry for keeping this going and going, but I tried what you said. I added a date field, and made it "date". I tryed adding the date it started, and just left it blank, and still, it didn't work, no polls came up, and I couldn't select by id. If you want to know which poll I'm using, the site is:...

Thanks a lot. I actually have a date field on it. On that date field, do I enter the date for the start of that poll, or do I just leave it blank, but set it to "date"? Thanks!

And if I do, do I put the date for each of the polls when they START? Sorry, I didn't get ya there. Thanks, I really appreciate it!! Ken Cooper
